Services
Design, build, and the long game.
Six services, one crew. Most clients start with a whole-yard design-build, but every one of these stands on its own. Prices below are real ranges from our last three years of work.

The six

How we price
Every number on this site is a range from real jobs, not a starting-at price that doubles later.
After the site walk you get a range. After the concept you get a fixed number for the build. That number only moves if you change the scope or we find something underground that nobody could have known about, and either way you approve the change in writing before anyone does the work.
- Design fees run 8 to 12 percent of the build cost and are credited back if we build it
- Permits, engineering and inspections are line items, not surprises
- Plants are priced by the actual list, with sizes named, not a lump sum
- Payment is in five stages tied to work finished, never to the calendar
Where we work
Los Gatos and about twenty minutes around it.
Los Gatos, Saratoga, Monte Sereno, Almaden Valley, Los Altos and Campbell. We keep the radius tight on purpose. A crew that spends an hour in traffic each way builds a worse garden.
If you are in the Santa Cruz Mountains above town, ask. We take a few hillside projects a year when the access works.
